The museum’s space hall also features a working glass workshop. There, volunteers are restoring one of the oldest surviving Daimler trucks, aiming to return it to roadworthy condition before the exhibit concludes.

Several of the vintage trucks came from private collections. Experts Rolf Hamprecht and his son Tobias curated many of the highlights, bringing depth to the historical presentation.

Daimler Truck Highlights Future Technology

Daimler Truck’s latest electric model, the eActros 600, helped transport visitors quietly and comfortably between parking lots and the museum entrance. Visitors praised the truck for its smooth ride and impressive electric range.

Another standout was Daimler’s 1,500-horsepower RaceTruck, driven by racing professional Steffen Faas. The display also included a futuristic Unimog design study, showing how utility and innovation can go hand in hand.

Two unique Unimogs were also featured: one that raced in the 2006 Dakar Rally, and another that starred in the Transformers film franchise as the character Hound.

Dirk Stranz, a test engineer at Daimler Truck, spoke about the importance of showing both old and new technologies together. “This event connects our history with our future,” he said.

Visitors Celebrate Trucks and Engineering Culture

Brazzeltag 2025 was more than just a truck show—it was a community event. Visitors and drivers shared stories and asked questions, creating an open and engaging atmosphere around the exhibits.

One touching moment came when a young boy named Felix climbed into the driver’s seat of a transport truck. The interaction captured the show’s educational and emotional value.

“We aim to preserve and animate the history of technology,” said Bernd Hufendiek of Mercedes-Benz Trucks Classic.
