Romania to Increase Electric Car Bonus to EUR 7,500

Romania’s government will increase the bonus for replacing old cars with new electric vehicles to EUR 7,500, announced Mircea Fechet, the Minister of Environment.

Last year, the bonus was set at EUR 10,000, but it was expected to decrease to EUR 5,000 this year.

Fechet emphasized the importance of the new EUR 7,500 bonus as part of the Rabla Electric program, which aims to encourage the purchase of electric cars. “We have three electric car models produced in Romania, in Craiova,” he added at the Green Energy Expo & Romenvirotec exhibition.
