2. EV5 Earth Model:
The EV5 Earth model shares the same motor as the Air version but comes with a larger battery, offering a longer driving range of 540 kilometers on a full charge, compared to the EV5 Air’s 400 km range. This improvement in range comes with a higher price tag, with the EV5 Earth priced at $209,600, also including the Category A COE fee of $96,999.
It’s important to note that both the EV5 Air and Earth models are exclusive to the Singapore market and will not be exported elsewhere.
3. Premium EV5 GT-Line Model:
The top-tier model in the EV5 lineup is the GT-Line, which comes equipped with two electric motors, an all-wheel-drive system, and a total output of 308 horsepower. Due to its higher horsepower, the GT-Line qualifies for Category B COE, making it the most expensive option. The GT-Line’s driving range is slightly lower at 470 kilometers per charge, as the dual-motor setup requires more power. As of June 2025, the price for the GT-Line model is $261,000, which includes the Category B COE fee of $113,000.
Charging Costs: What to Expect
Owning an EV comes with additional costs, mainly for charging. While charging at home is significantly cheaper, public charging stations provide faster options but at a higher cost.
Home charging for the Kia EV5 takes between eight to 24 hours to reach a full charge, at a cost of approximately $10.50. Alternatively, public charging stations with DC Fast Charging can charge the battery to 80% in 30 to 45 minutes, at an average rate of $15 per hour. This quick charge provides a range of about 250 kilometers for every hour of charging.
Which Model to Choose?
If you’re interested in owning a Singapore-made vehicle, the Kia EV5 offers a great option. The Air and Earth models are exclusive to the Singapore market, making them unique choices for local buyers. The Earth model provides a better range but comes at a higher cost.
