On June 20, 2025, financial news reported that Great Wall Motor Co., Ltd. has achieved a significant milestone. According to the National Intellectual Property Administration, the company has been granted a patent named “Chassis and Vehicle”, with the authorization announcement number CN223001581U, which was applied for in September 2024.
The newly – patented chassis structure is a game – changer. The chassis consists of longitudinal beams and a battery tray attached to them. On at least one side of the battery tray in the left – right direction, there are multiple first mounting brackets spaced along the front – rear direction.
The battery mounting cross – beam is equipped with second mounting brackets, spaced apart horizontally. The battery components are placed in the battery tray and connected to the first mounting brackets on one side in the left – right direction and to the second mounting brackets on one side in the front – rear direction.
This innovative design distributes the forces on the battery components evenly in both horizontal and vertical directions. As a result, the installation of battery components on the chassis becomes much simpler. Moreover, the enhanced stability and reliability of the battery components ensure better performance and safety of the vehicle.
